The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has advised the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to ensure strict compliance with its recommendations to scrap the Light Emitting Diode (LED) project. According to a press release issued on Tuesday, NAB recommended that the CDA prepare a new proposal in light of the input of internationally-reputed consultants who suggested that a host of newer and cheaper technologies are available on the market. NAB also instructed the civic body that noncompliance on their part could attract punitive provisions under the National Accountability Ordinance.
