Economic survey: Govt to release report tomorrow

PPP led coalition government will announce the federal budget for fiscal year 2012-13 on June 1 2012 on Friday

ISLAMABAD: The economic survey of Pakistan for outgoing financial year 2011-12 will be released on May 31 2012 by Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, which will highlight the performance of national economy. The survey will cover growth, investment, agriculture, manufacturing, mining, money, credit, capital markets, inflation, debt and liabilities. Pakistan Peoples Party led coalition government will announce the federal budget for fiscal year 2012-13 on June 1 2012 on Friday, two days after economic survey 2011-12 is made public, in the National Assembly setting a record of presenting five successive budgets. Shaikh will also present the budget which he deems will be tax free, welfare oriented; add one hundred thousand jobs, solve the power crisis and a relief to the common man.
