LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that President Asif Ali Zardari had a discussion with him to give indemnity to former president general (retd) Pervez Musharraf when he decided to step down from the presidency.

Addressing a gathering in Lahore on Youm-e-Takbeer, Sharif said that President Zardari had shown no interest in “becoming the president back then” and that Nawaz had a written account of that, but then Zardari “deceptively” took over the presidency.

“I was shocked when he became the president and so were the people of Pakistan.”

He further said that his party did not vote for Zardari as the president.

    Can you solve electricity problem?

If yes, please do it. Rather than talking about past past & past.

We are not going to vote PML-N!

    You know why?

Because, you people give a slow poison to people of Pakistan and only do politics and never understand what the people of Pakistan is.

“I was shocked when he became the president and so were the people of Pakistan.”

And you have not come out of the shock yet. How come that you remember all this now after almost 4 years. Mian Saheb, irrespective of how good or bad Zardari is, it remains an undeniable fact that he has completely outclassed you, despite all the support and backing you have been receiving from hugher judiciary. Better accept this fact.

And you only decide to tell the nation now?! If I am not wrong Musharraf was living in Army house in Rawalpindi before leaving Pakistan which was in jurisdiction of Punjab government. Yet you never bothered arresting him or filing a petition in the Court.

Sharif brothers have nothing to do, but to critisize the zardari, they don’t know how to play the cards.
Nawaz sharif should learn the way of politics from imran khan.Recommend

    Unfair criticism from PTI trolls.

PML N did ensure that Musharraf’s ouster –
it was their non negotiable stand.

They also ensured that chief justice is attired at
the cost of PPP imposing governor Raj.

    @Political Analyst:
his party didnt field a candidate against zardari? what kind of a political analyst are you? saeed uz zaman siddiqi was pml-n’s candidate and he won only in punjab…lost all other provinces and the centre…hashmi wanted to be joint candidate of pml-n and pml-q…allying with pml-q in 2008, when musharraf had just quit wasnt a good idea either

Is NS still relevant? Sharifs believe that they can come to power by using some saleable media people and judges. By no means you can compare yourself with Musharraf, who prospered Pakistan while you destroyed every institution. Inshallah during next election people of Pakistan will make you history. Everyone Pakistani knows that Sharifs are sugar mafia.Recommend

He is a novice politician and seems to remain like this. He didn’t learn from experiences. He should forget what happened in past and start concentrate on real issues and daunting challenges. It is time for all of us to concentrate on future challenges and say goodbye to politicians with no vision nor sincerity
