Burglary: Goldsmith deprived of cash, valuables

HARIPUR:
Burglars deprived a goldsmith of cash and valuables worth millions of rupees on Thursday. Abid Hussain, the owner of Zafar Jewellers in Adda Darband Market, told police that he had locked his shop on Wednesday, housing gold ornaments weighing 40 tolas, silver ornaments weighing 40 tolas, 40 grams unused gold and Rs160,000. However, on Thursday morning he found his iron safe and showcases empty. He said the burglars broke into the shop from the rear wall and decamped with cash and valuables. The police registered a case and started investigation.
