Karachi Violence: ‘Resources should be distributed equally’

Altaf Hussain links end of current spate of political ‘demands’ to the equitable and just distribution of resources.

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has linked the end of the current spate of political ‘demands’ to the equitable and just distribution of resources. He has also warned all national and provincial leaders against making statements that would instigate violence. Altaf made the remarks to members of his party’s Coordination Committee. His comments came in the wake of Tuesday’s attack on a rally in Karachi by Sindh nationalists condemning calls for the division of the province. In recent weeks, Sindh’s nationalist groups and members of PPP have spoken out against the demand for a separate province for Mohajirs, being advocated by a group called the Mohajir Sooba Tehreek.

Finally Altaf Bhai has come with his demands. That clarifies the whole scenario. Now we know for sure that the whole show in Karachi was planned, orchestrated and executed by MQM.
