World Diversity Day: St Joseph’s College celebrates cultures

KARACHI: The students at St Joseph’s College for Women decided to celebrate World Diversity Day this year by organising a mela on cultures of the world from Bangladesh to Italy.  The college invited teachers and students from other schools and colleges. When they arrived they were taken on a cultural tour of the world. As they entered each pavilion they were greeted in the national language and were offered a sample of local food. The visitors were each given a passport stamped upon arrival at each country. The consul general of France and China visited as well. The first prize was won by Sri Lanka, the second by China and the third by Pakistan.
