LAHORE:

A male and a female lawyer, who had quarrelled last week over a case, quarreled again on Tuesday. However, their colleagues intervened to avert an escalation.

Words were exchanged between Advocate Rana Arshad and Advocate Ishrat Ara when the former’s clients allegedly threatened Advocate Ishrat Ara with “dire consequences” after obtaining orders against them from the Lahore High Court on Tuesday.

Witnesses said the two were noticed after Advocate Ishrat Ara shouted for help accusing Advocate Arshad of kicking her and using abusive language for her. Later, she also approached the Islampura police station seeking registration of an FIR against him. The police, however, refused to register a case saying that she had already registered a similar case against him.

A few days ago, Advocate Arshad and his clients had allegedly thrashed Ishrat Ara and Samina Kashif on the court premises.
