Illegal confinement: Two brothers held at police station

SUKKUR: Two brothers who were being kept in illegal custody at the Mirpur Mathelo police station were released in a raid by the district commissioner on Monday. Ashiq Bozdar, a resident of Bozdar Colony in Mirpur Mathelo, filed a petition in the district and sessions court Ghotki on Monday morning. It stated that the police raided his house on Saturday and arrested his sons, Abdul Rauf and Farooq. The district and sessions judge ordered that the polis station be raided to free the boys. They were being kept in the lock up without any charges against them.
