Sessions court: Judges end strike
Judges had boycotted work since May 5 to protest what they said was hooliganism of lawyers.
FAISALABAD:
Sessions judges on Friday called off a strike in protest over assault on a judge by a lawyer during a case hearing a week ago. Judges had boycotted work since May 5 to protest what they said was hooliganism of lawyers. The strike started over Advocate Chaudhary Masood’s attack on additional sessions judge Asad Ali with his shoe. Negotiations between the representatives of the judges and the district bar association were underway since the day of the incident. On Friday, the judges ended the strike and resumed duties.
