Karachi police arrest suspect involved in arms supply

As many as 2 light machine guns, 2 LMBs and 50 RPGs recovered.

KARACHI: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) arrested a suspect from Karachi allegedly involved in supplying ammunition to Lyari gang war and other terrorist organisations, reported Express News on Friday.

Addressing a press conference at its Garden head office, SP CID Chaudhry Aslam Khan said that the suspect, Rehmanullah, was arrested on Thursday from the Moach Goth area, while his accomplice, Suba Khan, had managed to flee.

Rehmanullah was arrested on the basis of information extracted from other suspects in police custody.

The police also claimed recovering three cars laden with weapons and ammunition, including two light machine guns, two LMBs, 50 rocket propelled grenades, from Rehmanullah's custody.

According to the police, the suspect was involved in supplying ammunition after smuggling it from Balochistan.
