JI-Affiliated: Ex-minority MNA goes missing

The former MNA was kidnapped for ransom, allegedly by his own business partners, from Peshawar.

PESHAWAR: A former MNA from the minority community Pervez Masih was kidnapped for ransom, allegedly by his own business partners, from Peshawar, police said.Pervez, a member of Jamaat-e-Islami minority wing, was a member of the National Assembly when MMA was in power in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The family of Pervez Masih has informed the police that he went missing on Monday, May 7. An investigation officer said Pervez had booked two rooms for his two guests in a hotel on May 5 and was there till May 7. He disappeared after that along with his vehicle, which suggests that his guests could have a hand in his kidnapping.
