GEORGETOWN: World 100 metre champions Yohan Blake, of Jamaica, and Carmelita Jeter, of the US, won their respective events at the inaugural Cayman Invitational meet. Blake won the men’s 100m in 9.84, the second fastest time in the world this year, only behind training partner Usain Bolt’s 9.82. “Just the other day I was telling Usain that I am going to come out here to show him something,” said Blake. “We are friends like that. So I just came out to execute my race properly. There are things to work on but the race was good overall.”
