No privatisation: FESCO strike continues for second day
Fesco workers protested against the privatisation of power sector, appointment of ‘ineligible’ officer as the head
FAISALABAD:
The tool-down strike of the power distribution company employees in Faisalabad continued on the second day on Wednesday. The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) workers and engineers started their protest on Tuesday against the privatisation of power sector and appointment of ‘ineligible’ officer as the head of the power distribution company. The workers gathered outside their offices and blocked the road towards the Rakh Branch for more than three hours, They vowed to continue the demonstration till their demands were met.
