Cricket: Waqas bags win for Ravi Gymkhana

Waqas struck a half-century and Zeeshan Waqar took four wickets.

KARACHI: Mohammad Waqas struck a half-century and Zeeshan Waqar took four wickets to guide Ravi Gymkhana to a three-wicket win over Lahore Gymkhana in their Lahore Cricket League match in Lahore. Batting first, Lahore Gymkhana were all out for 232 in 49.4 overs. Imran Sheikh top-scored with 48 and Ahmed Qamar made 47 while Imran took three wickets. In reply, Waqas top-scored with 84 as Ravi Gymkhana reached the target with 17 balls to spare. In another match, Aligarh Club defeated Mahboob Gymkhana by five wickets. Batting first, Mahboob Gymkhana set a target of 270 and Aligarh Club reached it in just 35.2 overs while losing just five wickets. Umer Javed and Rehan Rauf both remained unbeaten on 48. Umar Fayyaz top-scored with 59 runs.
