LAHORE:

Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Hussain Sial on Tuesday reserved his verdict till May 11 on a petition seeking the transfer of the investigation of actress Sapna Khan’s alleged abduction and murder and the arrest of her ex-husband, former chief minister Dost Muhammad Khosa.

Petitioner Missal Khan, Sapna Khan’s father, has asked the court to transfer the investigation from the Civil Lines deputy superintendent of police (DSP) to a senior official of the Investigation Wing.

The petitioner submitted that the Sessions Court and the Lahore High Court had ordered the police to register a criminal case against Khosa and others and that it be investigated by a senior officer of the Investigation Wing. He said that he was facing enormous pressure to withdraw the case. He alleged that the police were not investigating the case on merit.
