Double Whammy: Robbed by paramour, killed by cousin

FAISALABAD: A woman was killed allegedly by a cousin in Garh Maharaja police precinct on Thursday.

Police said Rafia Bibi, a resident of Jalli Fatyana, was shot on returning home without Rs90,000 and 11-tola gold jewellery she had taken with her when she allegedly eloped with a neighbour, Muhammad Husain. She told her family on returning that Hussain had robbed her of the belongings and left her. The police said she was shot by her cousin Haq Nawaz following an argument on her return. The suspect has not been arrested.
