PESHAWAR:

Scientists and researchers are the biggest assets for any country and hard work is inevitable for progress and development of a nation.

This was said by Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology (SUIT) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Dr Saleemur Rehman on Friday.

He was addressing the participants at the concluding ceremony held to celebrate 10 years of the university’s establishment.

The ceremony was attended by the heads of public and private educational institutions, faculty members and a large number of students.

The VC said the prestige achieved by the university is a direct result of commitment and hard work of faculty members, university management and the students.

He appreciated the organisers’ efforts in pulling off a successful SUIT Festival and termed recreational activities as “essential for confidence building among students.”

“Students are the future of the nation and they should utilise their precious time on hard work,” he remarked. Later, he distributed shields among participants of the ceremony.
