Sunni Ittehad Council demands arrest of Data Darbar bombers

A conference is being held in Lahore today on the eve of the chehlum of those martyred in the Data Darbar blast.

LAHORE: The Sunni Ittehad Council on Sunday warned the Punjab Government of serious consequences if those invloved in the bombing of Data Darbar were not arrested.

The warning came at a joint conference of the Sunni Ittehad, Jamaat ahl-e-Sunnat and Sunni Tehreek.

The conference was organised on the Chehlum of those who died in the unfortunate incident at the shrine.

Sunni Itehad Council Chairman, Haji Muhammad Fazal Karim, chaired the conference, where a number of resolutions were passed.

The participants offered unwavering support for the ongoing military operation against the militants and warned government against holding talks with Taliban.

They demanded that the government carry out surprise inspections of all madrassas and hostels.
