Sapna Khan case: Judge on leave, next hearing on May 2

Sapna Khan has been missing since June 2011.

LAHORE: Pleas for the arrest of former chief minister Dost Muhammad Khosa for the abduction and murder of his ex-wife Sapna Khan and for the transfer of the investigation of the case have been adjourned till May 2 as the additional district and sessions judge was on leave. At the last hearing, the court had directed the Civil Lines deputy superintendent of police (DSP) to explain why Khosa had not been arrested, and asked the capital city police officer (CCPO) to comment on the petitioner Missal Khan’s request that the investigation be transferred to a senior officer of the Investigation Wing of the police. Sapna Khan has been missing since June 2011. A case has been registered against Khosa and others under Section 364 (abduction with intent to murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
