This time around, Rashdi picked on the PPP by stating that the education minister’s wife had been given the post of additional secretary education and this appointment had created ‘turbulence’ in the education system.
Law Minister Ayaz Soomro tried to counter Rashdi’s statement by saying that the PPP can no longer bear the rants of coalition partners, while Finance Minister Murad Ali Shah maintained that the issue did not need to be brought up in the assembly.
Another PML-F member, Nusrat Sehar Abbasi backed up Rashdi by saying that former secretary education Naheed Shah was removed from the post unlawlfully.
After the session, Sindh Information Minister Shazia Marri spoke to the media and said that Rashdi herself was in the assembly because of some relative.
Rashdi had earlier been involved in a war of words with Marri, with both resorting to personal attacks during an assembly session.
