Behind bars: Inmate assualted in cell

Sajid and Atif allegedly entered Ali Ahmad Butt’s cell, threw chilli powder his eyes and attacked him with blades.

FAISALABAD: A Toba Tek Singh jail inmate was attacked by two other inmates on Wednesday. Sajid and Atif allegedly entered Ali Ahmad Butt’s cell, threw chilli powder his eyes and attacked him with blades. Butt suffered several cuts to his face and body. Other inmates finally overpowered them and handed them over to jail authorities. Jail officials shifted Butt to the jail hospital. Deputy Superintendent Saifullah Gondal said a departmental inquiry had been ordered.
