Loadshedding: Angry residents attack KESC office, burn records

KARACHI: Frustrated by prolonged loadshedding, angry residents of Lines Area and Khudadad Colony marched towards the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) office located in the Tariq Road area and attacked it on Wednesday, Express News reported.

The protestors, including women and children, were carrying sticks and burnt KESC documents and destroyed office furniture.

On their way to the office, the protestors also burnt tyres and threw stones at the cars nearby.

The residents continued with their violent protest without any hindrance as they were not stopped by any official.

According to an Express News correspondent, power supply to the said areas has still not been restored.
