Saeed asked to keep low profile, says aide
Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has turned down a ‘request’ from the government to limit his public appearances and activities after the United States announced a $10 million ‘bounty’ on him earlier this month.
Associates of Hafiz Saeed told The Express Tribune that government agencies ‘advised’ him not to participate in public rallies for the time being.
However, Senator Pervez Rasheed, the spokesperson for the Punjab government, said he was not aware of any such request made by the government.
Saeed’s aides said the suggestion was made because the government fears that his continued appearances might draw a hostile reaction from the US. They, however, said Saeed was adamant and would not accept any such demand.
They added that Saeed was planning to address a rally organised by the Defence of Pakistan Council (DPC) in Quetta later this week to mobilise the masses against the possible reopening of Nato supply routes.

@Protector Of Pakistan: Sir , This is impossible. India will never get out of Kashmir. We have already gifted you 1/3rd. If Pakistan is so emotional & Serious about Kashmir & Kashmiris then why did you(pakistan) gifted a portion to Chinese . So Pakistan is required to avoid Extremists (like Sayed) and become civilised so that image of Pakistan(Sponsor of Terrorism) can improved in the entire world.

Pakistan looks silly asking for evidence when ample evidence has already been provided and UN has listed him as terrorist.

Well Well nobody in the world actually saw any proof of OBL involvement in 9-11. But all of the world bought the story US told. Again nobody in the world has any proof against Mr.Saeed for being mastermind of Mumbai Attacks. But yes US and India are saying this. So basically we will do whatever our gods will tell us? Oh did I use the word god instead of donor? Another interesting term is Extremist. Dont you guys think, without any proof attacking and destroying a country and killing millions is extremism?

Two things to note here: 1. "Agencies" asked him to lie low which puts paid to the claim that he is a non-state actor. 2. What happened to all the bravado from him where he sadi he only afraid of Allah and not of USA. HE has also gone to Lahore high court for protection and now plans to lie low.
The biggest question : what is his source of income? How does he afford a luxurious living with a fleet of land cruisers?

Well, Hafeez Sayeed is innocent like a lamb, a nation's hero and pride of Pakistan. As asked by him he should be provided with fool proof security by the state and allowed freely to deliver his hatred speeches against US and India regardless of both countries views about him.
It's quite difficult for an obese like him man to bend. You can't expect him to lay low and crawl!

Why is such a great charity worker, a major benefactor of Pakistani citizens of all stripes, a man whose life inspires so many Pakistanis of all levels of education and backgrounds, being asked to keep a low profile? Who are we afraid of, and why?
It is going to be a test for the establishment whether they are in control of their strategic assets or not. With billions coming from the World Bank and the US, there is a clear choice for the country whether they are with the extremists or the donors? After finding OBL in the military base it is not going to be difficult for the US to find Saeed. No wonder the rightwing was so upset at the presence of Americans in Pakistan who were trying to trace out the terrorists.
