LAHORE: Model Town police staged their weekly flag march on Monday. It was the fourth successive Monday march. As many as 16 vehicles and 25 motorcycles started around 5pm from Gadaffi Stadium, led by the division’s SP Maroof Safdar Wahla. They drove to Ichhra, Mini Market, MM Alam Road, Firdous Market, Kalma Chowk, Barkat Market, Faisal Town and Liaqatabad. The cavalcade, piloted by a traffic warden, patrolled the main roads as well as some smaller streets. SP Maroof said that the aim of the flag march was to deter criminals.
