Bribed: MO arrested on corruption charge

Anti Corruption Inspector said arrest was made after preliminary investigations seemed to support charge.

FAISALABAD: Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE)arrested a medical officer (MO) in Satiana for receiving a Rs45,000 bribe for issuing a medico-legal certificate.

Ahmad Ali, a resident of Satiana, moved an application at the ACE claiming that Dr Javaid Wahla had received Rs45,000 from him to issue a medico legal certificate. Anti Corruption Inspector Faisal Aziz Gill said the arrest was made after preliminary investigations seemed to support the charge.
