ISLAMABAD:

More than a hundred deportees from Greece and the United Kingdom arrived at Islamabad airport by special flights on Thursday. A majority of them were deported for illegal entry into Greece while those deported from UK had stayed beyond their visa limit, officials said.

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials said the deportees would be released after fulfilling legal formalities.

“The deportees will not be booked for any legal action, but they would be investigated for getting details about the traffickers who sent them,” the official said.

FIA officials said 50 deportees arrived from UK while two separate flights brought 94 deportees from Greece.

Another official said the people who overstayed their legal stay in UK will be blacklisted; they will not be fined though and allowed to go home after recording their passport details.
