ISLAMABAD: Hearing a case on the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan, the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday summoned the Establishment Secretary on an immediate notice.

During the hearing at the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, irked by the absence of the Inspector General of Police Balochistan, said, "Why don't we just suspend the IG Balochistan and the concerned superintendent of police?"

Three missing persons, who were recovered by the police, were presented before the court.

The court ordered that the recovered men be release immediately and sent home. The court has summoned IG Balochistan on Friday.

Chief Justice Chaudhry said that despite taking notice of the current crisis in Balochistan, up to seven people have died. He said that Balochistan is on fire, facts have been concealed and the people have made a mockery of the law.

The court also rejected the statements presented by the Advocate General Balochistan.
