The letter, which was previously reported to be a statement, was actually written to the ANF commander and a copy was sent to the Supreme Court Registrar.
According to Lashari’s letter, Brigadier Fahim’s statement, which was earlier presented in the Supreme Court contained false accusations against the secretary and was also incorrect under section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CRCP).
Lashari also accused Brigadier Fahim of misleading the court with his statement, saying that the commander had come to meet him at his office not once, but four times.
He further declared that whenever the court issued a notice to him, he would come forward and challenge the commander’s statement.
Lashari said that on Tuesday, the Supreme Court directed him to become a part of the investigation and that he had written the letter in compliance of the Supreme Court’s orders.

Butt saab I hope you are well versed with the containers case and How army men made money out of it..I'm sure you are not oblivious of an army men who end up with plots in every big city of Pakistan. Stop acting as if army is full of saints and impeccable people. Yess politicians are corrupt because media and other elements are exposing them, but once the focus of Camera changed you'll come to know such pious people are also among them. For instance, SC hesitance to initiate any action against Musharaf is self evident. and now mehran Gate as well..
I am sure the Ecstasy or crack cocaine that was derived from the Ephedrine ended up in the hands of US troops in Afghanistan. This is what big Daddy is going to say to take more control of Pakistan.
@Mohammed Usman: I do not know of any incident in which some Army man was implicated for drug paddling but for argument sake even if we admit that some one within the Army had also indulged in similar activity then will that mean that Ali Musa Gilani cannot do such a thing. In Pakistan, unfortunately, the siblings of all the powerful political families are openly indulging in corruption and other criminal activities because they know that they will never be convicted. Their elders can conveniently politicize the issue or declare it a conspiracy of their political opponents. The case of Moonis Elahi is just one of the many recent examples.
@butt jee:
I am not defending PPP here. If you tried to intelligently understand what I said, it would be clear to you that I am reflecting on our collective urge to jump down someones throat without waiting for proper investigation. You are absolutely right about human greed and man's desire for power (and the army is not exempt from such human emotions). Are you sure the army has never been involved in any kind of under handed business transactions , be it drugs or land embezzlement etc ?
@Mohammed Usman: You are surely a PPP loyalist otherwise you should have known that playing with the soldiers in their barracks has nothing to do with the human greed for making quick money and for that purpose drug paddling has always been the most effective means.
I am no PPP loyalist. I also don't care one way or the other about the prime minister or his son. However, I urge all Pakistani's to not jump to conclusions on the case. Please notice who is pushing the charges (the army) and why (army has been made to look like fools in the recent past, by the government). My grandfather and his brothers were army men and I spent most of my childhood playing with the soldiers in barracks at Cantt station but I am not going to hesitate in saying that the army is not removed from playing dirty political games.
@butt jee:
I understand your pain :D
Nothing is going to happen for the rescue of this country even in the SC. All now seems to be a drama. No decision, no implementation no redressal, no change. Every body is passing time. May Allah save us from all of them.
An other Gilani loyalist.All the corrupt associates of the PM will join hands to make sure that the culprit, Ali Moosa Gilani remains unscathed like Moonis Elahi of PML (Q).
