KARACHI: Violence took its toll on Karachi once again on Wednesday during the strike called by Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) against the government delay in the chemical examination of viscera taken from the body of JSQM leader Bashir Qureshi.

According to Express News, three men were shot dead in firing incidents in Maripur, Khadda Market and Lyari areas of the city. One bus was burnt in the Kalri area, while another bus in Lea Market was opened fire at leaving one woman and three children injured.

Earlier during the day, unidentified men set a dumper and truck on fire near Malir and Khokharpar. Meanwhile, shutter-down was witnessed in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Sachal Goth, Rehri, Ibrahim Hyderi, Ghaghar Phattak, Bhains Colony, Safora, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and other areas.

The leadership of JSQM had alleged that Bashir Qureshi who passed away on April 7 had been poisoned in Sakrand, Benazirabad district. They demand an impartial inquiry into the murder.

Every wrong doer is welcomed in Karachi to interrupt law and order. I think the law enforcing agencies are not performing their duties well. Why Karachi is always on receiving end when there is any incident??

PPP and its partners failed to bring peace because of lack of courage and will.

They don’t deserve even a single vote.
