Political Killings: PPP workers and student activist laid to rest

The PPP workers, Farhan, Anis Siddiqui, and Omer Hayat were killed in Orangi Town on Friday afternoon.

Three activists of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and one of Peoples Students Federation (PSF) were laid to rest on Saturday.


The PPP workers, Farhan, alias Guddu, Anis Siddiqui, alias Munna Bihari, and Omer Hayat were killed in Orangi Town on Friday afternoon. Their funeral prayers were offered separately at Urdu Chowk, Orangi No. 10 and 11. MNA Abdul Qadir Patel also came to participate in the funeral with the victim’s family and friends.

Law and order situation in the area was tense and a heavy contingent of police and Rangers were on duty. However, so far an FIR hasn’t been registered. Mominabad DSP Tariq Malik said that the victims’ families were busy with the burial and might register the case later.

Syed Hussain Mehsud, PSF activist, who was shot dead in Scout Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, was also laid to rest in a graveyard along Super Highway. His funeral prayers were offered in Ali Town, Sohrab Goth.
