Corruption: Two officials get 39-year sentence

Two employees of Livestock Department sentenced to prison for 27 and 12 years, respectively, in an embezzlement case.

SARGODHA: An Anti Corruption Court on Wednesday sentenced two employees of Livestock Department to prison terms of 27 years and 12 years, respectively, in an embezzlement case.

The judge also imposed Rs 90,000 fine on cashier Muhammad Aslam Goraya (Rs70,000) and assistant treasury officer Niaz Ahmed Siddique (Rs20,000). They were found guilty of misappropriating hundreds of thousands of rupees in salaries of employees by making bogus bills.
