
The Supreme Court took notice of the murder of a woman in the province, and directed the police to submit a report in this regard.
Heading a three-member larger bench, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry asked the Balochistan advocate general about the number of missing persons in the province district-wise, and whether any case had been taken up.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that the government writ seems to be missing and questioned who was responsible.
During the hearing, the Balochistan advocate general submitted a report on the steps taken to improve law and order situation and measures taken to protect people in the province.
The advocate general told the court that 204 bodied have been recovered in Balochistan, whereas 80 people have been kidnapped.
The chief justice further said that the situation is forcing people to migrate; and when they leave, they are forced off buses and killed.
He said there was so governance in the province and added that either people do not know what’s going on, or have chosen to remain silent.
The court adjourned the hearing till April 5.
