Cricket: Lancashire in talks with Junaid
Junaid was crucial as Lancashire reached last year’s semi-final, taking 12 wickets from eight matches.
MANCHESTER:
English county Lancashire are in discussions with Pakistan’s left-arm pace bowler Junaid Khan over a potential return to Old Trafford as one of their overseas players for Twenty20. Red Rose county have identified Junaid as a primary target as they look to fill two specialist overseas spots ahead of their North Division campaign in mid-June. Junaid was crucial as Lancashire reached last year’s semi-final, taking 12 wickets from eight matches. He also played one county championship match against Durham at Liverpool before being called up to make his Test debut in September.
