Assault: Two killed, passerby injured in firing

Injured woman was taken to Chiniot DHQ hospital where doctors treating her described her condition as critical.

FAISALABAD: Two men were killed and a passer by injured by unidentified attackers near Abu Saeed village on Chiniot-Jhang Road on Wednesday. The injured woman, identified as Zahida was taken to Chiniot district headquarters (DHQ) hospital where doctors treating her described her condition as critical. One of the deceased was identified by Rajwa police as Jajjay Khan. His relatives told the police that he had left home on Wednesday morning to attend the hearing of a case in a sessions court in Chiniot. Witnesses said the deceased were standing on a roadside when two men riding a motorcycle stopped near them and opened indiscriminate fire at them. They said the attackers fled through a side road leading to a village. The bodies have been sent for a post mortem examination.
