Imran appoints 'Global Thinker' as his strategic policy advisor

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has appointed Azeem Ibrahim as his strategic policy advisor, who would develop comprehensive policies which can be implemented as soon as Imran takes office in case of an electoral win.

Scottish-born Ibrahim, who holds a PhD degree from Cambridge University and has served as a scholar at Harvard and Yale, was named as one of the Top 100 Global Thinkers of 2009 by the LSDP European Social Think Tank. He has also advised over half a dozen world leaders.

Commenting on the appointment, Imran said "We are delighted to have Ibrahim at the heart of our operation."

Ibrahim, who also serves as a Fellow and Member of the Board of Directors at the Institute for Social Policy Understanding said: "Imran Khan’s honesty and sincerity in a country where such traits are seriously lacking amongst the political elite clearly mark him out.

He further added that he was impressed by “Imran’s ability to absorb complex information and immediately understand what needs to be done to take Pakistan forward in these challenging times.”

I am an idealogical supporter of PTI and the future of Pakistan. Just to play the devil's advocate, will the impressive Dr. Azeem Ibrahim get a Pakistani nationality and give up his British one?
