KARACHI: PIA Academy marched into the final of the NBP Inter-Academies Under-17 Twenty20 tournament after defeating Omar Associates Blues by eight wickets in the semi-final at the RLCA ground, Gulberg. Batting first, Omar Associates were bowled out for 93 in their allotted quota as Saifur Rehman top-scored with 26. Ghulam Muhammad and Asghar Khan bagged three wickets each. In reply, PIA chased down the target for the loss of just two wickets in 13.2 overs. Imamul Haq remained unbeaten with a run-a-ball 37, while Anjum Naved plundered 36 off 23 deliveries after hitting two sixes and three fours in his quickfire knock.
