Contempt Of Court: Notice against NBP president discharged

Bank has inducted back two low-ranked sacked employees with benefits.

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court discharged a contempt notice against the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) president, after it was informed that in compliance with court orders, the bank has inducted back two low-ranked sacked employees with benefits. A three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and comprising Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Tariq Parvez, was hearing contempt of court proceedings against NBP President Qamar Hussain.
