RAWALPINDI:

The city police on Tuesday busted two gangs and took three suspects into custody.

They also recovered a stolen car, a kidnapped man with his car, a mobile phone, a laptop and weapons, said Deputy Superintendent Police Civil Line Circle Malik Tariq Mehboob at a news conference held at his office on Tuesday.

DSP Mehmood said Suhaib and Anjum kidnapped Zubair Rasheed, a resident of Bahria Town, along with his Honda City at gunpoint from the area of Police Post Gulraiz at Monday midnight.

When the police tried to stop them at Meharabad Police Picket, the suspects opened fire and increased the car’s speed.

The police retaliated and managed to stop the car and arrest the suspects. There were no casualties, according to DSP Mehmood.

The suspects were identified as Suhaibullah from Buner, Anjum Shehzad from Swabi and Jabir Khan from Mardan.
