Wireless Broadband: PTCL widens network to 180 cities

PTCL has also expanded coverage of its Nitro Rev B network to 70 cities.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has said that its EVO wireless broadband has become the widest broadband internet network covering 90% of the nation’s population in more than 180 cities and towns. In a press release, PTCL says EVO customers can now experience on-the-go wireless broadband internet wherever they roam by connecting to EVDO Rev A at speeds of up to 3.1Mbps with EVO, EVO Wi-Fi Cloud, EVO Tab and EVO Droid in more than 180 cities. PTCL has also expanded coverage of its Nitro Rev B network to 70 cities. “Customers can now cruise with speeds of up to 9.3Mbps with EVO Nitro’s Rev B in more than 70 cities,” it says. “PTCL is leading the mobile internet revolution by continuing to expand and enhance wireless broadband services to provide seamless coverage,” said Senior Executive Vice President Naveed Saeed. “Our sleek and portable EVO products are technologically advanced and coupled with our widest EVO wireless broadband service, which gives customers the most unique mobile Internet experience in the country,” he added.
