Asia Cup: Pakistan win by 21 runs against hosts Bangladesh
They had scored a competitive 262-8 off 50 overs against Bangladesh.
Hafeez (89) and Nasir Jamshed (54) hit half-centuries for Pakistan, while paceman Shahadat Hossain (3-53) and left-arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan (2-41) were the main wicket-takers for Bangladesh in the day-night match.
Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim had elected to field after winning the toss against Pakistan in the opening match of the Asia Cup one-day tournament in Dhaka on Sunday.
Defending champions India and Sri Lanka are the other teams in the fray. Each side will play the other once in the round-robin league, with the top two advancing to the final on March 22.

I will revisit this page after Pakistan will have played its next two matches against Sri Lanka and India, just to check how true your words/comment were...

Pretty ironic now they are playing against a B team so Afridi and Hafiz are back in form and among the wickets. They would bat and bowl well till they face top opposition. They are the masters of mediocrity.

@Bangladeshi: No one is underestimating Bangladeshis. At one point we thought we lost the match but thanks to quick wickets from our bowlers. Check at PakPassion forum where hardcore cricket supporters are praising Shakib for his masterpiece innings
It seems PAKISTANIS are underestimating us. You won't be underestimating us if we beat INDIA or SL. SO keep watching.
We could have easily won had it not been for Saeed Ajmal taking 2 wickets in the 44th over and sakib lost support at the other end.Heart breaking really. It could have been a great chase and memorable victory over PAK.
I think Umar Akmal is the main culprit.He has failed to learn from his mistakes now its time to give Hammad Azam more chances.Drastic changes should be done after Asia cup.i say 3 sperate Teams for 3 seprate formats and bring all the new talent in.
Good captaincy by Misbah...Used right bowlers at right time...& I will say If Bangladesh can play like that against Pakistan don't know how hard will they come upon teams like India & Sri Lanka!!

Even though we won.. I still hate Misbahs captaincy. For large period of time the Bangla batsmen were given a free hand to do as they please. No pressure applied.
