Cricket: KCCA want Farooqi reinstated

KARACHI: The Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) General Body appealed to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf to reinstate deposed secretary Ijaz Farooqi following the Annual General Body meeting at the National Stadium, Karachi, under the chairmanship of president Sirajul Islam Bukhari. The body expressed serious reservations about the continuous delay in the matter, observing that Ashraf, on assuming office, had assured the members of KCCA that he would look into the matter and ensure Farooqi’s restoration. Farooqi was ousted by former PCB chairman Ijaz Butt in August, 2011 for speaking against the board’s policies.
