Speaking at a function in Lahore on International Women’s day, Sharif said, “I understand there are many hurdles in the way of the women of Pakistan as it is a male-dominated society and their talents are suppressed by men.”
Commenting on the performance of college girls during a tableau at the event, he said, “You see how they broke the shackles and emancipated themselves, this is the strength of women.”
Describing himself as a khaadim (servant) of the nation, he said, “I am also the servant of mothers, of sisters and of daughters as much as I am a servant of the rest of the nation.”
Sharif also announced that funds of Rs20 million have been allocated for women.
He said that he has some recommendations which he will get approved by the assembly. “Once approved, the recommendations will certainly help in resolving women’s issues.”

Very violent imagery. If this is how the CM talks is it any wonder that people think that violence is the answer to any and every conflict ? Enough talk about bloodshed and violence. Haven't we had enough ?
Really, Mr. Shahbaz Sharif? What about Asia Bibi? Would you agree that your provincial government is complicit in her being oppressed? Would you apply your own advice to yourself?
Mr. Khadim e Ala would you please be soft and tolerant in your tone, because i remember you wanted to hang president upside down in chowk, now you want to make a graveyard for oppressers who oppress women, if you continue with same tone soon you would be branded as zaalim e ala.
Right, and who's government is it in Punjab? Where should people of Punjab start from?
Everybody believing about ayesha ahad malik as if her claims have been verified from any court. Seems we just blindly believe what media has to say.
Khadim-e-Punjab is the greatest leader Punjab ever had and would ever have. Other provinces have earnest wish to have him. He is the best thing happened to Punjab.
His rhetoric is going from bad to horrible. He wants to 'hang people upside down' and now wants to create more graveyards in a violence-ridden society. As Khadim Aala he should be spreading justice and tolerance - not this language of hate and brutality. This is the same guy who asked Taliban to spare Punjab because he presumably has the same ideology as them.
Never said this before but I say it now, Mian Sahib Jaan Diyo
An overly-emotional statement.....nothing more!
is this the same man, who's daughter in law was beaten up by police and had to approach the courts and media so that she could be heard?
Actions speak louder than empty words
The same applies to Ayshia Ahad?
LOL. Again a tribune article that portrays or rather tries to portray CM in a bad manner. It didn't work btw. What he said was actually very enthralling and empowering. It isn't about the violence, it is about the will to fight back against oppression which doesn't often come without aggression. Fighting back when pushed down is what valor is and our women growing in a patriarchal society at times fail to muster that. Any feminist would love his comments. Bravo CM. And for all the women of Pakistan, take heed of these words.
What about "Aisha Ahad Malik"! Are you placed to say something!Salam
Dear Khadime alaaa...who will make the graveyard of the people in ayesha ahad malik case...please she is also a women....we can see her everyday on TV going from one place to another behind hamza shebaz...do you guys stand by your words ever in your life...can you ever walk the talk...who will justice to ayesha ahad malik....I can not imagine how people still vote for political mafias....
