KARACHI: The Pakistan Skiing Federation (PSF) was forced to call off the Women’s National Championship, originally scheduled to start from March 3, as teams failed to reach Naltar due to a poor law-and-order situation in Gilgit. According to officials in Naltar, the women’s contingent had been scheduled to arrive on March 2 and participate in practice courses before the championship. However, in light of a military operation underway in Gilgit, the PSF has now decided to cancel the event. Meanwhile, two other events for women have been scheduled to take place in Malam Jabba, whose schedule will be announced shortly. The national championship for men had concluded in Naltar on February 28.
