KOT GHULAM MOHAMMAD: The wheat crop has been harvested from Naukot area and it reached the market on Sunday. The growers demanded that the government set up wheat-purchasing centres immediately so that they don’t sell the crop to the middlemen at lower prices. The president of Zamindar Welfare Association in Mirpurkhas district, Muhammad Anwer Khan Qaimkhani, said that the farmers have no other option but to sell their produce at lower rates because of a lack of other options and they are pressed for money.
