KARACHI: Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro adjourned Friday’s session because of the Senate elections. He said that they would resume the session on Monday. Although the session started at 11 am, Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro requested the speaker to adjourn the session as the MPAs had to go cast their vote. In the brief 20-minute session, Soomro and the minister for local bodies criticised the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (Likeminded) for fielding their candidates. The PML-Q (likeminded) spokesperson responded by saying that by contesting in the election they were trying to rule out the perception that they were the opposition. While talking to the media, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah said that it was a pity Dr Arbab Rahim was representing his constituency from abroad.
