Internet service: Wateen wins consumer choice award

Wateen was recently ranked Pakistan’s No 1 wireless broadband company by PTA

LAHORE: Wateen Telecom, recently ranked Pakistan’s No 1 wireless broadband company by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), has also been awarded Consumer Choice Award for Best Internet Service Provider. In a press release, Wateen says the award was presented at a ceremony for the 7th Annual Consumer Choice Awards, held in Karachi and attended by representatives of leading national and multinational brands. In total, around 85 awards were presented in various categories, ranging from financial services to fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) to telecommunications. Wateen says the Consumer Choice Award is especially rewarding as the winners are selected by a wide cross-section of consumers, who are polled in surveys carried out through the Consumer Association of Pakistan’s  websites.
