LAHORE: Additional District & Sessions Judge Mah Rukh Aziz Tarar on Wednesday released three persons on benefit of doubt for allegedly involved in a murder case.

The judge acquitted Salman Arshad, Mohammad Tariq and Abdur Razaq in Mohammed Waheed’s murder case, after prosecution failed to prove their involvement.

According to an FIR registered by the victim’s father, Mohammad Majeed, in Harbansepura police station under sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, he claimed that his son was travelling on a motorcycle when two unknown assailants opened fire on him which hit his son’s backbone, resulting in his death.

He said that two locals, Mohammad Hafeez and Mohammad Saeed were at the spot and could identify the assailants.
