TOKYO: Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest man, has the ability to clock 9.4 seconds (s) over 100 metres at this year’s London Games, according to two-time Olympic gold-medallist Sebastian Coe. Asked about media reports that Bolt was planning an assault on his world record of 9.58s in London, Coe said he had the ability to tear up the laws of physics, though the competition would be intense. “I do think it’s possible [for Bolt to run 9.4s],” said Coe. “But having watched the extraordinary performances of Yohan Blake and Tyson Gay, this will be an Olympics that’s very competitive at 100m and 200m.”
