ISLAMABAD:
National Development Complex (NDC) and National Engineering and Scientific Commission (Nescom) have two weeks to justify contractual job appointments in violation of Supreme Court orders.
Islamabad High Court Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan issued notices on Tuesday seeking their replies after Raja Saifur Rehman filed a writ petition on behalf of 31 affected petitioners including Muhammad Zubair, Saeedullah Khan, Zafar Iqbal Rajput and Sajid Bashir and others for implementation of the SC judgment in the Hajj corruption case.
The SC had held that no officer over 60 (retirement age) shall be appointed on contract because this blocks the promotions of deserving junior officers for years.
The writ petition has been filed against Nescom staffers including Director General Javed Raza Khan, Shahid Raza, Arshad Mughal, Colonel (retd) Sami and Colonel (retd) Ashfaq Malik who have retired but continued working on the same posts on contract after obtaining several extensions.

I have taken interviewed in MTC, after clearing test, interview was Awesome, i was sure to get the job , unfortunately i haven't any reference in the organization thats why i was not selected, but my friends having references (although their interview was not good) got jobs....Now i am disappointed from these organization.....
It is absolutely heartfelt to know that officers have to fight for their judicious right even in the org like NDC/NESCOM. So called heads must use their grey matter to understand the delicacy of the situation and must respond briskly to control it.This case is the clear sign as they failed as leader. COAS may also be requested as well to initiate repatriation of uniform personnel to barrack specially those serving in the orgs like NESCOM for one reason or another. He must save them from becoming the SCAR instead of STAR of nation. Remember, we cannot be promoted unless we are replaced. I guess if at all an individual needs to be held, who has attained the age of superannuation, the decision must be taken with consensus and a separate pool for them must be maintained without affecting the promotion event of deserving candidates. Keep it up Sajid Bahir. May Allah give you enough courage to climb this ladder and stand tall among the impending crowd following you.
There are injustice favor given to these old bees and retired Army personal. They are incapable and these old Fsuji's considered strategic organisation as Multinational for Fauji's. Best of luck Sajid Bashir
Whether anybody believes or not ,this corrupt practice in NESCOM/NDC has been going on for many years..Almost 80 percent people are given extension in violation of supreme court orders. Virtually these departments have increased their retiring age on their own. What a society where unemployment rate is so high among youngsters, these old people have refused to go home. Wait and see revolution in this country is round the corner and this revolution may be filled with blood shed. Too much injustice has its ugly end in history
How can Retired Player Played well if they are good player not be retired?
I am very happy about this writ in Supreme Court, i also desire that, those people who are retired from forces not fit in government sector because they play one inning in their life and not interested in 2nd inning which is bonus for them. please try to young blood and give chance and see results..
It is pity that young people are running from pillar to post for jobs and old babas refuse to retire. In NESCOM/NDC it is common practice that people keep working until 68 years of age. Unfortunately supreme court does pass judgements but these are not implemented. It is waste of national time and resources if everything is just theoretical. I remember " I Mohammad Zia Ul Haq president of Pakistan is pleased to extend tenure of Chief of army staff General Mohammad Zia ul Haq for further three years" This practice is in abundance in NESCOM for senior officers
Yes it is bad in law , and it is contempt of court . We hope that it will end.
The names mentioned are the people who have already gone after enjoying the good piece of cake. The practice of giving extensions to senior officers in these organizations is still continued. These include present top heads also. They are just trying to show that they are indispensable. This practice has created frustration in the next eligible officers at all downward levels.
