ISLAMABAD: Former parliamentarian Marvi Memon invoked the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court to direct the chairman of the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitate Authority (ERRA) to provide the details of funds he obtained for development projects in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) after the 2005 earthquake. Talking to The Express Tribune, she said that she had been raising her voice in Parliament for information regarding the development projects in the earthquake affected areas, but her queries were never paid due attention. “The only remedy available to me after resignation was to knock the door of the Supreme Court,” Marvi said.
